I've got a 2010 Ford Explorer Limited. It has a 4x4 emblem on the rear, and I can see on the dash that there is a 4x4 light. My problem, or question, is that the light never turns on. I was in the snow last year and the 4x4 never engaged so I was slipping everywhere. There is no button to turn it on, as I'm guessing its auto 4x4, so why does it not engage when needed? Is my car capable of 4x4 but not "loaded" with the capability? Is there something wrong with it that I need to take in to fix?
