The temperature gage on my dashboard is not moving? what could the problem be?

try this.hold the odometer trip button,turn key to on,not start.let go off trip button when test begins on instrument panel,see if the temp hand sweeps with the rest of them.you may have to push the trip button to forward through all the test.see what happens.

thermostst could be stuck open replace it
