What is your question?
My wife says it dies when she is slowing down to take a turn, or sometimes waiting at a stop light. She has to wait a couple of minutes, and then it will restart. It cranks over ok, it's more of a fuel carburation (injector) issue. We had the electronic choke replaced last year which took care of the rough idle and start up problem. The only diagnostic code came up as the mass air sensor issue. Any ideas, suggestions as to who to take it to? I've paid for service at Ford dealers before, and not had issues fixed with an earlier expedition.

your welcome.post findings.
I checked for vacum leaks, and couldn't find any. The Explorer doesn't appear to have too many vacum lines. I purchased a torx security bit from Sears, and pulled out the mass air flow sensor. It did appear to be lightly coated with some residue. I used the CRC Mass Air Flow cleaner per the instructions. After I reassembled, and saw the check engine light on, I hooked up a code reader meter. I cleared the check engine light, and ran the engine for a while. It seems to run well. I'm having my wife drive it for a few days, and check to see if the Check engine light comes on again. So far, it hasn't. After doing that job, I did the same thing to my son's 1998 Expedition. It had the Cheack Engine light on for a while. I took apart the air cleaner assembly, cleaned the Mass Air flow sensor, and cleaned out the inside of the air filter canister. After reassembly, the check engine light turned off. Thanks for the great tips, It saved a bundle of money that I would have spent at a garage.
you welcome,good work!
