how to open hood when interior release does not work

take the hood release handle off.grab cable with vise grips,pliers,or whatever works,use a helper to push down and pull up on the hood if needed.pull the cable until the hood latch releases.then,go to NAPA and buy a new hood release cable, PART # NOE 6652987. it comes with the release handle attached to it also.
