can not start car with keys,have to press alarm reset button on bottom.

put new battery in and had transmission rebuilt , now car wont start with keys have to press alarm reset button on bottom of steering wheel by the pop open trunck button. what do I do. will I break it always pressing button and turning key at same time to start ignition.
