What is your question?
I have an 04 expedition when i got it the previous owner told me that it ran good til one day it wouldnt start. So he had the starter and fuel pump replaced. Still wouldnt start. So i bought it for cheap and i completely went thru the engine. I ended up rebuilding the engine, and when i was done i tried to start it, it still wouldnt turn over. So i checked the power distribution box and i replaced it with a used one from an auto salvage place. Replaced some fuses and relays still wouldnt turn over. I went and got a different ignition switch still nothing. I did rent a diagnostic plug in and it was saying that the pcm disnt match the vin. So i went and bought a new pcm with 2 new keys and i programmed the keys . i followed step by step directions on how to do it which was sent by the place where i purchased the computer. It cranked but wouldnt start, tried again and it doesnt do anything no crank no start. What could be wrong?
What makes this problem better or worse?
Nothing is making it better

Symptoms of an active security system - light on in dash when key is on?
Hello, some of the parts you have replaced require a Ford IDS diagnostic tool to do a "programmable module installation" -- meaning you can't just hot swap a new or used part into the vehicle. A body module (smart junction box?) needs to have the old module information imported into the new one, or "As Built" data entered from Ford. You'll need Ford's help on this one, or the assistance of a tech who subscribes to Ford's IDS software and programming data. But that's just a tiny tip of this iceberg. Who on earth knows what else is going on. You have layers of "no start" concerns even before you replaced all these components. You'll have to start with "known concerns" - I'd probably just put the old components back in the car and test from the beginning, instead of installing a bunch of parts that you can't even install without the proper programming. The fact your VIN doesn't match the PCM clearly illustrates the missed step and/or general part incompatibility. Good luck!
