Shut off while driving will restart but will not stay running

In a quiet (as possible) environment, can you hear the in-tank fuel pump turn on 'for a couple seconds' when the key is turned on? .. May need a helper to turn key to the ON position while you listen at tank filler inlet with gas cap removed. .... Is the fuel pump running for a couple seconds??

I had the exact same problem with my ford ranger xlt! Which is almost the identical engine! ; simply access your fuse panel under your hood comma then look for your ECC sensor/relay, it shouldn't cost more than 13 to $15. replace that and your problems should be solved!I took my truck to 10 mechanics and got estimates for over $5,000 telling me I had to replace all kinds of stuff rebuild my engine exedra I figured it out because my truck was dying while I was driving on the highway and almost got in multiple accidents. Every time I died I would it my end engine the hood and then I would hear a click then I would try to start my truck and it would fire right back up finally after several months of this I narrowed it down to the ECC sensor slash relay switch replaced it and never had a problem again, best of luck, if you know anybody that can help me out with my issues on my vehicles I would greatly appreciate it you can contact me at jonathan.teipel@gmail.com / Godbless!
