Is it my starter, ignition switch, or battery connection

I have the same problen i get power to the starter relay but no ground to it No crank at all any ideas?

Have someone help and get a hammer and rap on the starter while trying to start the car just to see if the starter may be going out. This will jar the starter in case the brushes or bushings are going bad. If the starter try's to move or start, replace it, no guarantee it will work again.

Big Dawg... I am in North Charleston and I am having the same problem. I changed the neutral safety switch and starter with no luck, my battery is good. I had the same exact problem. It ended up being the starter. Another problem I had the steering one person said it was the rack and pinion, another said it was the power steering pump. I kept searching the internet because I was not satisfied with the answers, it ended up being the steering shaft. After all the years of driving in the North East. The road salt made it bind.

Theirs a couple of things you can do. 1 thing that happens is the screws that holds the shifter inside the column giving a false park condition. Next time it does this try moving to neutral and move shifter up and down slightly while turning key. Also simple things to do is get a test light and check starter relay wire for power while someone turns key. Because it's intermittent it could also be s starter slowly getting a dead spot on commutator inside. The thing that baffles me is chip key working then not. Theirs s procedure to reprogram alarm with touch pad on driver door. Look online or check dealer or owners book. These are some of things to check. Keep us posted.
