The car is parked. The locking steering wheel does not work. What am I looking at ??

Surprise ... the steering wheel did lock, the last time I was in it. I'm now looking at CV Joints, the front-left. I'll take it to the shop.? Debating on how it's going to get there, I'll take my chance. It still drives. The BABY is over the mark, at 201k. Had it for 10 years (used). It'd rather FIXit than REPLACEit. What would you say ?? Affordability.
