My mechanic, NORMS, in Poughkeepsie, NY is looking for a rear trailing link for my 1991 Escort. He says I may never find one. I'm reaching out to this forum, because I can't let the car go for somethinglike that. Can anybody help? Rich.

I never heard or felt anything unusual. Norm says the trailing arm link in the rear is going to go, and so it won't pass inspection.

Hello, this "dealer only" item has probably been discontinued by Ford. Green Sales Company, a buyer of discontinued Ford parts does not show this part available either. From here, you'll need to locate a part via the national network of used parts at salvage yards. You will find one with time and effort. Try areas away from "rust belt" states like yours for best results. One place you can try utilizing a national network is LKQ. Check this site -- not an endorsement necessarily, but I have personally used them to find parts no longer available from manufacturers. http://www.lkq.com/
