fuel gauge not reading correctly

As long as the fuel gauge reads correctly from 3/4 full > back TO empty, not really a big deal - is it? .... The 'proper' scanner can easily and accurately test both the in-tank sending unit (fuel level sensor) and the dash gauge using the Functional Test menu .. Suggest visiting local independent auto repair shop for required scan test.
