I replaced ecu. I was told new ecu was flashed and ready to go. Now, all power is on but car won't even crank. anti theft light flashing. Why is it on and car not cranking? And what it the issue?
What is your question?
The light was never on before. vehicle ran prior. A dealer diagnostics is how issue was found. 2 codes, ECU and ignition coils.
if it's got the PATS anti-theft system, then the PATS Module Requires Programming after ECM/PCM Install.
where did you buy the new PCM? and WHO told you that? Hybird?2.3L gas?3.0L gas? Limited?XLS? XLT?
I purchased at Auto Zone.. 2 different managers and 2 other employees all told me no other action required.. 3.0 L gas xlt..... I asked multiple times if they were sure nothing else is required. They were positive... Apparently they should find a different line of work

It's the first one you mentioned for sure.. Theread just to lazy to read everything, or just too stupid. Your the man! Thank you! This was a huge help. I knew all along that this was going to all come down to the level of stupidity at AutoZone ...Now I can go in and tell them how retarded they are. I just hope it don't cost me an arm and a leg to get this done at a dealer.
most of them at the ZONE don't have a clue.all they do is sell parts, and whoever sold you that got a big pat on the back.some of the places if a manager has been there since they opened in 1979 that was called Auto Shack until Radio Shack made em change their name may know what they are talking about, but the rest of em don't know very much.they go get an ASE Certified emblem and they are hired! i go to one a lot, only because i have a good friend that has been there for almost 30 years just to shoot the breeze with him,and i sure don't buy any parts from em.i hear what those others tell folks that come in.Autozone is a sorry company, from what i see.use to be 3 people in the morning and 3 in the evening.now 2 in the morning and 2 in the evening.so figure that up,cut 2 people from each store times 6000 stores, lots of MONEY,then hire part time help(no benefits, don't train em,very much under paid, and very over worked).if i need info on a part there(they have a very good computer system) i turn the screen around and the keyboard and do my on looking.but anyways good luck with it,chew them folks a---s out real good.make em look it up again first and show you on the screen what it says. you want good parts and some NOW HOW,NAPA IS THE PLACE TO GO!! they been around since 1925!!!
