if place the alternator and the battery is bad do I need to buy A New battery
yes the battery was tested they said it is bad but they can't tell if the alternator made it bad or not
BAD is different from dis-charged- Replace it , cut out the first part of the headache , you can't test an alternator properly (on the car) with a faulty battery.
