my 2001 ford is selecting forward gear but not moving when accelatering only in reverse its moving do u hahe any idea whats wrong

first thing is to make sure the transmission is at the full mark, if its full you need to have a tech diagnose the transmission
If your fluid levels are good I got bad news for ya. This just happened to my 2004 v6 this past weekend. There is a cup inside the tranny that breaks into peices and needs to be overhauled. $3000 later it's working like new.
