check engine light on for bout month...had checked was told vacuum leak

well,check for vacuum leaks..some are hard to find..start the engine,raise the hood,listen closely for hissing sounds,disconnected hoses,clamps,split,cracked,dry rotted vacuum lines..the hoses are probably 16 years old and never been changed,so check them all,then check em again...
