When I step on the gas hard the engine sputters and the check engine light on

What is your question?

The check engine light is on, when I step on the gas I feel the engine sputters and I loose power. The light is on now and I need to drop of to the shop this week. Not sure what's up with it?

take it to Autozone and let them read the code,or codes,ask them to print it out,its free,and then post codes here.someone will try and help you here.
