Headlights come on when in gear and stay on.

What is your question?

My headlights come on as soon as I put the car in gear no matter whether it's day or night and they stay on until I shut the car off. No daytime running lights just auto lights. Also fog lights don't work when switch is in auto but do work in parking lights or full on headlights.

What makes this problem better or worse?
