how do I replace the output speed sensor in a 2007 ford edge

I found the sensor and pulled the 8mm screw off. as I pulled the sensor off, transmission fluid came out. Do I need to do a transmission fluid change on it also and the wiring is on the inside. Does it come out or do I need to take off a piece of the transmission too?
