Why won't my van go into gear after reinstalling the transmission?

This is is my 2003 E250 Ford Econoline Van. It will not go into gear ever since I reinstalled the transmission in it.

Linkage installation verified? Fluid level verified? WHY was the transmission out in the first place? Same symptom? Scan tool available for diagnostics? Having a 'live data stream' Could prove to be priceless at this point!!
