if I don't let it warmup it takes a bit before iy goes into gear if I stop it takes a few seconds before it goes back into gear and moves

Check the transmission fluid level. If you are low you will get a delay in engagement. When the fluild warms up it expands and could be the reason why it moves once warm. Alex

Recommend transmission service .. Drain fluid - change filter and refill .. DO NOT have the transmission flushed!!
