fuel pump noise on 3rd position while cranking no start

I replaced the pump not 2 years ago and it was an Airtex brand. I had a feeling it may be the pump again. Why does it not prime and yet when cranking I hear it? So this is a typical symptom you know very well.. not priming/ cranking and working/ gas coming past the fuel filter yet no start at all.

No fuel to the fuel rail, then pump is not doing it's job. If fuel is at the fuel rail and good pressure, check the injector pulse. Airt ex pumps do fail, call the factory phone number to see about a warranty.

it used to start and run so badly shaking and even then no priming on second position. Now It almost wants to start but not quite My power pack get drained from trying to start there is fuel after the fuel filter what chance is it the pump in your expertise?

Is there fuel pressure at the fuel rail or injectors.
