fog horn sound

Very difficult for me to help you on this without being able to hear the sound. Possible exhaust system for Steering components. A defective Steering gear may make the sound you described if it happens while turning the steering wheel from side to side. If it happens going over speed bumps, possibly sway bar bushings....just a few thoughts
