can your car start if you have removed the alternator

IF the alternator has been removed - the battery cable should have been disconnected as well. Due to the possibility of a short circuit - attempting to start the engine is NOT a wise decision!

if you've taken the alternator off already,then take it to AZ,ADV,ORLY and have it tested.they can test it inside the store on a testing machine,and might as well take the battery out of the fender well and take it with you and let them re-charge it,it's free! if your new battery is drained/dead and the alternator is bad and you buy a new one and jump start the car,the new alternator is not going to charge your dead battery.
