96 dodge Stratus 2.4 ES. How do I get the crankshaft dampener off? I'm changing the timing belt and the dampener will come off up to the point it starts hitting the frame rail of the car, what's the trick??

You may be able to raise or lower the engine to make it clear by loosening the engine mount bolts. That's how I've done a few front-wheel drive balancers. Alex
Top engine mount will need to be removed to gain access to the timing cover to start with - as for the “dampener†> **remove the FOUR BOLTS in crank pulley** - also, by removing the larger 'center bolt' you'll have more room for pulley removal.
Bolt in the center of pulley only retains the lower timing belt *drive sprocket* - however removing that bolt will aid in *pulley* removal.
