1994 dodge shadow 2.5 engine, automatic transmission, feels like it misses out at speeds above 50 when cruising. It is ok when accelerating. All help appreciated.

It runs fine until it shifts into high gear. Then it feels like it is missing out. I can give it gas and it is ok. ^Then when I quit giving it gas and just cruise, it jerks and once again feels like it is missing. I thought maybe transmission causing it. Just don't know.

What makes this problem better or worse?

It is worse after warms up
