What is your question?
I have a 1996 Dodge 1500 that loses oil pressure when accelerating above 1.75RPM'S. It also only happens when the truck has been running a few minutes. I have checked the oil pump to see if it was clogged and it is not. I only assume it is a leak in the oil pressure line do to the fact that when my truck is below 1.75RPM'S the oil pressure comes back. Also, I know it is not the gates because when I lose oil pressure, a burning smell comes shortly after. Thank you for your help.
I did, but after playing with it and pressure it fit right in. The seal looks good, too.
Remove the oil pressure switch and install a test gauge to see what the pressure is... There is no oil line!
Ahh ok, sweet, thank you for the help.
Yep... Probably find a gauge at Advance or Zone for rent or loan.... That way you know for sure what the deal is with the pressure!... If pressure is good... Replace the sending unit or switch!
Awesome, I appreciate the help, I feel stupid for not realizing this.
Hey, how else you going to learn?... Keep in mind I've been doing this stuff for over 40 years!!.... I don't expect others to know what to do!!
You'd be out of business if they did know!!!.....PLUS , I'm not to sure I want to know what you know , you know what I mean ? Ya' know...........?
