What is your question?
The engine light is on and it wouldnt stay started. The guy at the garage said the spark plugs were good. But it has no compression in #2. The spark plug had gas on it. He told us it has a bent valve more likely and we need to get a used motor. Before we do that we want to know what could it be. Bent valve, cam sensor or coil. When we used our tool to see it said 7 misfires. The Dodge has around 97,000 miles on it. Like I said it wont started it tries to stay started but it just shuts right off. Please anyone else has this problem and can help us out we would appreciate it.
What makes this problem better or worse?
It wont start and stay started.

Unfortunately, no compression isn't related to any of the external engine components - this failure is internal to the engine .. The 3.7L engines have had some problems with exhaust valve seats becoming dislodged from the cylinder head which prevents the valve from closing and thus the reason for no compression.. This can be confirmed by removing the valve cover and inspecting valve train.. Your mechanic may have already discovered this issue.. Furthermore - due to this engines configuration - it may very well be more cost effective to replace the engine assembly. These suggestions I have made are based upon experiences i have had with the 3.7L SOHC engine.. Only through *hands-on* testing can these observations be proven to be the issues in your particular case. Good luck!
