How do I fix the door spring mech it locked open on me past the normal position
What is your question?
I forced the mech back into positioned but it makes loud clunking noise. The spring and arm opened past the scaloped design of the safety catch

My best advise is to replace it, wrecking yard or parts store. Saves a big headache.
