ANYTHING...Why take any chance? Is it not under warranty? Bring it in to the dealer and find out!
Buy a code reader at any Autozone. Cheap one will do. Using it twice will pay for itself compared to bringing it in to have a code read. Also get peice of mind knowing if the shop is misleading you. The biggest reason for the check engine light you can repair yourself is a loose gas cap. I just had my 2016 car serviced for a check engine light. I told the service advisor it was a bad gas cap. After three return visits for the same code it was the gas cap. Glad it was warantee work but wasted alot of my time.
