Apparently the car will start if you hold the fob against the Start button. You can change the battery yourself. I know, because I did it this morning. You need a disc, lithium CR2032 battery that you can buy at the grocery store. Instructions are in the Journey user manual, basically: separate the spare door key from the key fob, use it or a flat head screwdriver to gentry pry apart the fob. Turn the back panel over and the old battery will drop out; replace it with new battery, lining up the + sign on the battery with the + sign on the panel. Squeeze/snap the two parts of the fob back together.
OWNERS MANUAL? Dealer , at least for info? Battery should only be needed for 'keyless entry' not starting the car.
Thanks I though the key worked in connection with the ignition. I noticed that if the key is not inside the car it will not start
MY bad , didn't let the year register......Guess you have push button start? IF you have no owners manual for reference , then get to dealer and tell them your concern and specific problems with it if any. Do you have more than one key?
yes I have another key thanks for your reply
thank you for your response , now I know and hopefully Juanks will see it too.
