Try this crazy trick... Using the ignition key ONLY..and key inserted into lock cylimder...Hit the key with a rubber mallet a couple of sharp blows.. Don't pound on it just a couple good whacks... Now try to turn it... Repeat if needed.. It works sometimes.. Nothing to loose, let me know if it turns for you... May not have to replace the lock!
I know it works on Jeep and Hyundai......
GM & Saturn too!!! Ain't tried a Ford or Chrysler but I figure it will work on them as well. The ones I did I just lubed up the lock and they haven't given any more problems!.. I'm sure it's not bullet-proof but why not try it!.. I guess it's not 'technical' enough for some to try it!!! Maybe we should keep it to ourselves... I'm just saying... Seems like we can't even get a simple reply here for the FREE advice!
"I'm just saying... Seems like we can't even get a simple reply here for the FREE advice!" Just like talking to a wall most of the time, That is why I don't help on this web site much anymore! :)
YEP!.. Plus when you know darn well you're telling them exactly what needs to be done to FIX this stuff, IF you do get a reply, it's just to argue about it most of the time!!!... I'm about done with it too!!!... Leave it to the fixitallmart knowitalls > Can't figure out how to use a screwdriver!!
