Not able to predict how long the vehicle can be operated without incident .. Can go to KBB for vehicle resale values.
I would research any vehicle before buying it,reviews, the good, the bad, have a mechanic check it out before buying it. 170,000 miles, that's around 28,000 miles per year average, could be highway miles or could be a 78 mile per day back and forth to work, around town,or combination of all above.check kbb.com used car value. in my area,if buying from a "private party" in EXCELLENT condition(only 3% of all vehicles valued from kbb fall into that category)practically FLAWLESS,would be worth around $10,000.00. I have 3 vehicles,2 Toyota's cars,1 Ford Truck,no Dodge and all have over 200,000 miles, one has over 325,000 miles.it's up to you, just have it checked out and research it,good luck....
There you can enter *all applicable* vehicle information (including mileage) to get the current resale value. It is also highly recommended to have local mechanic perform a pre-purchase inspection. â–ªï¸https://repairpal.com/repair-shopsâ–ªï¸
