My mechanic said that my durango needs the ABS pump replaced I took it in with the brake light on

Hi Streamer 4u: Yes the ABS does have what you would call a pump. You said the brake light was on. This could be caused by a number of things brake light switch, shorted wires, wheel speed sensors just to name a few. Also the ABS system could be at fault.
