They are still not working and there is power going to them. What could it be please help

check the brakelight switch.
Where is that located
if you have checked the fuses for the lights,brakelight switch,and the bulbs,they are dual element bulbs.then check the brakelight switch.under dash,drivers side,just follow the brake pedal up,and you will see it.
Check for resistance between the Black wire (Pin 6) on the brake lamp connector and body ground (any unpainted metal surface of the car). Should be zero. If it's not, you have a broken ground wire somewhere.
