Switched into 4 wheel drive and now when I put the switch in 2 wheel drive it stays in 4 wheel drive. How do I get it back into 2 wheel drive

Place the transmission in neutral. Put the vehicle in 2 wheel drive then place transmission in reverse. Back up about 8 feet.

I was told that putting the switch on 2wd and putting it in reverse and go in reverse for a bit....it has worked for me :) i also have a 2001 durango
