Hard to Start
What is your question?
Have to crank the starter 3-4 time to get it to start. Does not matter if it is hot or cold. Every once in awhile it will start with 1-2 cranks.

Have the spark plugs ever been changed? your Dakota came with resistor plugs and need replacement at 30,000 miles according to my book also the distributor cap and rotor are also replaceable https://repairpal.com/estimator/dodge/dakota and you can find a shop here https://repairpal.com/dodge-repair-in-mount-wolf-pennsylvania

I just had a complete tune up done about a month ago. Plugs, wires, cap, rotor. It runs a little smoother now but it still has the starting problem. I have heard it could be a fuel pump issue but this has been happening for several years now. I would have thought the fuel pump would have gone out completly by now.
