Check for trouble codes by reading check engine light flash codes.. Key on .. Key off .. Key on .. Key off ... then key ON... Read codes... Possible : plugs, wires, ignition coil, cap & rotor, throttle position sensor, ignition timing, engine timing , fuel injector, worn distributor, etc... Why not just have it 'professionally' scanned for problem(s)? .. Quality scanner with live data makes this repair a walk in the park!
Should fuel pressure stay up with engine not running with key on?
Yes
Doesn't show a code by cycling the key I did tow it and have it scanned at advance auto parts it showed bad crank sensor?? It has a brand new one in it is it possible to get a faulty one out of the box? I have also checked the timing ,new cap, coil, rotor button. What's the signs of a worn distributor ? It doesn't have excess play in the shaft
