What is your question?
My 1998 Dodge Dakota v6 3.9L has been having random stalling issues for a few months. It mostly stalls when decelerating or stopped (in drive) It very rarely stalls while idling in park (though it has twice). When it stalls it some times will start right back up other times it has to sit and cool off. It gives no real indication it is about to stall, it just quits like some one just turned the key. I haven't had it stall on me when the engine was cold, only after its been warmed up. No codes pop up either. I have taken it to two places, its regular mechanic and right now its at the dealership. neither places knows where to go from here. We have replaced many pieces on the truck that could have been the issue and its still stalling. Computer has been replaced (2012) Ignition coil has been replaced twice. (2013 both times) Battery has been replaced (2014) Spark plugs and Wires have been replaced (2014) Throttle body has been cleaned twice (2014) Dodge has replaced the crank sensor behind the right head, and put in a new distributor cap and rotor (both replaced in 2014). The cap was pretty deteriorated and the rotor was covered in soot. They thought they had found the problem with that but I wasn't so lucky.

The actual distributors on these engines give some problems but one would assume that has been considered.?
Thank you I am going to have them look at the actual distributor. I've been through two ignition coils so I'm beginning to wonder if maybe the distributor is making them go bad.
I've done a complete tune up, replaced ignition coil x2, new coil module ring, plug wires, PCM, still stalls about every 5 to 6 days, when driving speeds, codes that come up are Cat. Convert. ignition coil ? muffler shop says no to Cat. Convert. an of course Ignition coil has been replaced ??? my or any mech. I take it to pulls their hair out !!!
If the camshaft sensor is going doesn't it normally make the engine lurch and sputter? (It might not always but I want to be sure before I put more money and parts into it that it doesn't need) mine just kind of stops.
