i just replaced the transmission in my truck ... factory tranny... it bucks goin up hills or when there is strain on the engine.. when it kicks into passing gear its fine but not much pickup in speed.....

i would look at bascis. plugs, wire, cap and rotor to start. Roy

Sounds like the secondary ignition is breaking down under a load. Inspect or replace your spark plugs and ignition wires.
