My 93 dodge Dakota cranks then idle down and got some kind of sucking sound close by the carborrator and shut truck off what could it be

Large vacuum leak that is going to require *hands-on* investigation..
Literally HANDS-ON investigation because that is exactly how you find a vacuum leak - I’ll change the sound once the hand is near. Good luck!
