What is your question?
If knowing the diagnostic code do you still need to pay for a diagnostics check to be performed by the auto shops?
How long has your 2010 Dodge Charger had this problem?

Absolutely - the code number is nothing more than a clue as to which operating system needs further *hands-on* testing / diagnosis to prove what the failure actually is. The “diagnostics check†performed at the repair facility is much more in-depth than just retrieving trouble codes .. The diagnostic scan tool used is MUCH more capable of performing various systems active functional test - viewing live data and is an invaluable aid in reaching a proven repair solution .. Therefore it is also a MUCH more expensive diagnostic tool than any code reader that's available. The repair facility has to charge for these services to help pay for this type of equipment as it is very expensive! That's true across the board..
