VAN wont start warn door open light flashing & clicking sound even when no key

What is your question?

2005 dodge caravan won't start but blinking warning red door open light with clicking sound under front driver side hood even when key is out while door open but stops when door shut, but still won't start. The lights on dash fade out if door is shut and the gauges go back and forth. When inside with door shut the door lock works if pushed on the door but not once open and not with the clicker at all. The steering wheel also wont lock.

What makes this problem better or worse?

I drive from a to b and 40 minutes later, turned off to get kids and 5 min got back in and now wont start.
