transmission Problem

What is your question?

The problem is with the transmission. The van struggles to change gears while driving. It won't change gears around 40 MPH, thus the RPM is high at that point and the engine is loud. It also the reverse won't function. I can put it in reverse, but there is no power to make it go into reverse. What would an estimate be for this repair? Thanks.
