So I drove to work one morning everything was fine. Went to start it up to leave and no go. The dash board lights come on, radio, headlights and horn all that works. No turning sound or start up noises when i then the key and the battery light is on the dash.
How long has your 2010 Dodge Caliber had this problem?

You need to verify the battery has at least 11 volts. You can do this with a volt meter or just simply try and jump start the car. Rule out the battery first. Alex
Most DIYer's do not own a real set if jumper cables - FACT! .. Those just aren't heavy enough to crank the engine when the battery is discharged - FACT! A descent set of jumper cables will cost around $50.00 .. A professional set is $75.00.. Just so you know...
Well I’m not a professional so maybe telling me more then how much cables cost would be nice. The battery has corrosion on it now

Look man they weren’t my cables and i don’t know what kind she had. They didn’t look cheap but let’s say a better set a cables doesn’t jump it. What’s the lighting bolt in parentheses mean

Could that be the problem here
IF the engine is not CRANKING (revolving) when trying to START - no it isn’t the problem ... That’s the battery and starter motors job.
How do you tell the difference between whether it’s the starter nor battery
Testing the battery is a start. Can it hold a load? If it can, is there excessive corrosion causing resistance on the battery cables? If this is clean, then a starter draw test is in order. None of this is "guess" related, all requires testing with proper equipment. It's cheaper to do that then spend a bunch of money on repairs by process of elimination. Good luck.
