Try your spare key. I was having problems with my 2014 Dodge Avenger and everyone keep saying it was my starter or my starter relay. I had it scanned and it was my key with the buttons on it. But when I took it to the deal they said it was my anti theif system ( $467 to replace or repair blah blah) nope I put my spare key in there and it started. Try this first. The starter relay Is not one of those relay parts either. Just a heads up because I tried everything and now I’m just buying a new battery for my key. I’m going to program it myself as well!
won't start? it does not crank the engine over(no crank no start condition)? OR it cranks the engine over and won't start?(cranks and no start condition)..if no crank/no start>>have you tried jump starting it from another source? just because the lights and radio come on don't mean the battery is good..
Try checking the WCM Module. Ours had that issue, and that's what was acting up. A new one has to be programed by a dealer.
you are right, see lots of folks having the same problem! Thank you for posting this! My 2013 Avenger wouldn’t start and I had no idea it was my key until I read this! My key had come apart and the electronic part had fallen out and it wouldn’t start due to that.
