driving along and my car shuts off, wouldnt start , then the dash light comes on

Well I really don't know if there has been any re-calls or not but there sure should have been! This seem to be a frequent problem - that I have witnessed at the shop - it's been that way I know since 2008. That said - this will require a professional scan test to confirm the exact failure - it wouldn't surprise me if the throttle body has failed. You can contact Dodge dealer with the vehicle identification number and inquire about any pending recall work that may need to be completed on that particular vehicle.
