Why does the alarm go off when I try to jump start my 2013 dodge avenger

Hello, when electrical power is restored to the vehicle -- as with jumper cables or a replacement battery -- you will have to deactivate the alarm when it starts going off. If it is a factory alarm, typically this is accomplished by hitting unlock on a key fob, or turning the key in the driver's door lock cylinder. Then you can proceed to attempt to jump start the vehicle.
