What is your question?
Just got done flushing out all the peanut butter like substance in our coolant system due to the new kid at our local mechanic shop mixing in the wrong kind of coolant....after LITERALLY weeks of flushing I was just finishing 1 more flush & got lazy & instead of draining it from the petcock like I should & had been, I stupidly loosened the screw on the thermostat assembly to let the last flush drain out it's drain plug. Now I canNOT get the little rubber gasket to seal correctly, everytime I attempt to tighten back up that screw on the thermostat assembly, it either squeezes out 1 side or another. I canNOT get it to re-seat back in the same groove! Does anyone have any tricks or ideas on a way I can get this darn seal to reseat properly so I'm not forced to purchase another entire thermostat assembly? Any help would be extremely appreciated! Thanks
What makes this problem better or worse?
Worse when I tighten up the screw again
How long has your 2012 Dodge Avenger had this problem?
Since I unscrewed it yesterday
Once disturbed - the rubber seal needs to be replaced - period. Good luck!
