Battery light and engine light on

What is your question?

When the weather is cold, the battery light and the engine malfunction light come on and then the car will stop running and will not restart. The battery has been checked and is okay, but it happens really bad during fall and winter.

What makes this problem better or worse?

The cold weather makes it worse.
