For test purposes you can swap sides with the taillight assemblies to see if problem follows light. You will likely find that to be the case - you can actually purchase the light assembly cheaper than the necessary replacement components - - $21.00 on eBay with FREE shipping ... . Problem is GROUND CIRCUIT inside the circuit board on light assembly.. Good luck!
